I love Timberdoodle.  Have you checked them out?

Fun stuff.  Fun homeschooling stuff.  I could spend a whole lot of money there.

But first I am going to do a review.  It’s a book I received for Ethan, my little K cutie, who really enjoys school.  So it was no surprise that he loved his  new geography book…

What is it?

Beginning Geography
From map proficiencies to learning about animals around the world, Beginning Geography will acquaint your kindergartner with the beginning geography skills he will need to understand the cultural and physical world around him.

Easy to Introduce Concepts
Based on National Geography Standards, the ninety-three reproducible practice pages in Beginning Geography make it super easy to introduce your child to important geography concepts and vocabulary with exercises your child will actually enjoy doing.

Includes two Fold-out Maps
Beginning Geography includes teacher resource pages, reproducible activity sheets and cards, and two full-color fold-out map posters. Flip through the first 24 pages of this title and discover just how easy it is to teach this topic.

We love studying geography in our homeschool.  It seems to go right along with my boys.  They love maps.  And oceans!  We are learning about oceans, so this section was perfect!

It’s meant for ages K-2nd grade, so it’s very age appropriate.  This book has 93 reproducible pages, so it’s great to use for more than one child.  Ethan really enjoyed the cutting and pasting worksheets.  Direction and map grids were among the favorites.  Iron Man even showed up for one of them!

I would definitely recommend this book to begin your geography journey.  This book is a part of Timberdoodle’s Kindergarten Core Curriculum…a entire package for your child!

I received this product free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
